Careem acquires Savaree to take on Uber in Pakistan
Savaree was founded by Madeeha Hassan in January 2014 at a Code for Pakistan Civic Hackathon. She will now be joining Careem’s global product team and will serve as a Product Lead for Pakistan. Junaid Iqbal, the Managing Director of Careem said: Madeeha Hassan, the Founder of Savaree, said about her company’s acquisition: Careem was launched back in Pakistan in 2015. It started providing its services in Karachi and Lahore initially. This service is also available in many cities of Middle East which includes UAE, Bahrain, Beirut, Cairo, Riyadh and Jeddah.
